Niche opportunities just waiting for you
Hello there! I'm Matt Chadwick at the business desk and today I'd like to talk a bit about some very real opportunities in some real niche markets.
Too many of us make the fatal mistake of turning our attention to those large markets that are congested with too many competitors practically falling over each other. We seem to think that the bigger the market the better the chance for success. We also feel that the more consumers that there are, the bigger the opportunity for grabbing the brass ring. This is in many ways a myth because there is now growing proof that the chances for success can just as easily be found in those niche markets. The popular slogan these days is riches in niches and there are practically thousands of them just waiting for you to discover them. I want to give you a few of the more popular examples making the rounds these days and I'll also tell you what you could expect to make as an entrepreneur.
1 The fitness instructor's niche:
Your present primary consumers are: Those suffering from obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and stress. The age group of your consumers is not limited to any specific age group. Your potential consumers could be: Busy professionals looking to stay in shape and in need of personal trainers, gyms and health clubs, spas and resorts. Your potential income as an entrepreneur could start at around $45,000 but could quickly climb to over $75,000 and upwards after two to three years of being in the business. You can either work on-site, or even in the homes of your customers.
2 The special needs travel agent niche:
Your present primary consumers would include seniors, aging baby boomers, families with young kids, families with elderly parents, persons with various physical disabilities, and persons afflicted by disabling diseases. For the most part, the age group of your consumers could be widespread. Your potential consumers could be busy professionals. Your starting salary as a travel agent in this niche market could be yours for the taking depending on how hard you wish to work. There are special needs travel agents who are making as little as $25,000 annually and then there are those who are making very healthy six figure incomes.
3 The translator's niche:
Your present primary consumers include international companies of all sizes, governmental departments dealing in international trade, large international organizations, pharmaceutical companies, United Nations agencies, and other related businesses. There is no age group relevant for this niche. Your potential consumers could include doctors clinics and offices, lawyers offices, hospitals, universities, news agencies. A translator can practically create their own income or can name their price and this is mainly due to the growing expansion of international trade.
There are several more rich niches out there just waiting for you to take advantage. The niche approach is growing rapidly and I would ask you to give it some serious consideration.
