Title theft on the rise

Good evening!  I'm back and I'm Kerry J Harrison at the business desk.
This evening I'd like to draw your attention to a very disturbing trend that is rapidly growing right here in America.  The experts have coined this one as the title theft trend and it pertains to identity thieves stealing the title of your home from right under your nose.
Try picturing this:  You buy your new home and take out a mortgage to pay for it.  You visit a financial institution, more than likely your friendly financial institution that you've been dealing with for most of your life, and the friendly folks at the financial institution do the necessary to put through the paper work to get things done.  It does not take very long to get all of this done and soon enough you are now the proud owner of your dream home.
You move in, start buying things for your new home, and you involve yourself in decorating and fixing up your new castle.  Things are going fine till one day there's a knock at your door and when you answer it you're served with an eviction notice because your home is now owned by someone you've never met.  A total stranger!
How did this happen?  How could this be true?  Why is this happening?  It is happening, it has happened, and now you suddenly find yourself being evicted from your own home.
What has actually happened is that an identity thief has found a way to steal the title of your home away from you in the still of the night and they've done it with consummate ease.  Somehow, they managed to get ahold of either a single   piece or pieces of your identification, managed to discover that you own a home, and they have managed to change the title of your home removing your name from the title of your own home and inserting either their own name or the name of someone else.  Now you find yourself in real hot water.
You now have to seek the help of your financial institution, the one from which you obtained your mortgage and you have to work very hard to retrieve the title to your own home.  If you're lucky your financial institution will help you, but what we're finding is that most institutions are not too willing to help.  What to do?
In order to deal with this situation and to avoid not getting into such a dilemma, you need to take out title theft insurance and you need to do so before you buy your next home.  Those who have owned their homes for more than five years or more may be safe but those of you who have bought homes within the last five years are not so safe.
Please, pay attention to this picture.  Title theft is growing at an alarming rate and it's up to you to take the necessary measures to combat it.
