My concerns this morning are focused on a rapidly growing group of diabetic consumers and according to several health experts, the growth of diabetics is much more that has been predicted.  Diabetes has always been a very potent enemy to mankind.  Causing ramifications such as:  Blindness, loss of limbs, depression, and other disabling diseases and side effects.  Did you know that diabetes is the leading cause of blindness today on a global scale?  Did you also know that diabetes is hereditary?  That diabetes is caused by such things as obesity?  That juvenile diabetes is rampant among our kids?  That diabetes comes in two forms:  Type one and type two?  That the number of persons suffering from type two diabetes is growing at an unstoppable rate?

China and India are the two countries with the most diabetics these days and the number of persons expected to be hit with this disease are going to be from these two countries according to what the health experts are saying.  

What we have here is a picture of share horror and a call for help from many global governments including our own American government.  Yes, Uncle Sam is pleading for help from businesses of all sizes.  Because of the increasing demand for products and services from all stakeholders, the American government is now looking to others to help.  Demand for products and services is way ahead of supply and this gap is expected to continue to grow at an alarming rate if something isn't done quickly.  If we continue to ignore the increasing presence of diabetes we may soon find ourselves in a very unpleasant and frightening crunch whereby only the fittest will survive.  There are always solutions to any problem and I'd like to list just a few.

First, there are definite things that we can do to reduce the growth of diabetes.  We can take control of our health by paying closer attention to what we eat and exercise more.  We need to stay more fit and healthy by eating healthier and exercising more frequently.  We can take measures to control our body weight and stay away from eating junk foods and things that are not healthy.  Pay closer attention to what we put into our bodies.

Second, we could demand that restaurants, fast-food chains, and supermarkets and other food stores and chains offer foods that are more healthy for us.

Third, we could get involved in developing services and products that would help diabetics to keep their disease under control.  This last solution is not as daunting as you may think.  What's needed here are more online stores that sell products for diabetics. 

Fourth, we should be making ourselves more familiar with info on such topics as healthy eating, causes of diabetes, causes from diabetes, and other related topics.  We need to learn how to prevent and treat diabetes. 

Finally, we owe it both to ourselves and to our kids to take action now.  Taking action now will go a long way to preventing a global catastrophe.  Taking action later may just be the cause of an unpreventable diabetic tsunami that could potentially cause worldwide problems of mammoth proportions.
