Many baby boomers would like to be able to travel and do things that they have not been able to do while they were fully employed and at the same time they would like to know that they would have enough savings to be able to do so. 

One of the major things for any financial planner to understand when dealing with a baby boomer is that upon retirement many of them are dependent on fixed incomes and fixed pensions and because of this they are very cautious when it comes to spending on themselves and on others. 

Yes, there is a definite need for financial planners who are willing and ready to fulfill the needs and demands of baby boomers but in order to do so, financial planners really need to take a step backwards and analyze the differences between the needs and demands of baby boomers, and those of younger persons.
