Tips for the holiday season
Good day everyone! I'm Jeff Marquis at the business desk and on behalf of all of us here, I 'd like to wish all of our readers and clients a very merry and joyous Christmas/holiday season, and the very best of everything for 2007. We'd like to thank all of you for your continuing support and commitment to us.
We've had a very good year here. We've managed to increase our customer base by over 25%, and our readership has gone up by over 40%. We've also had an increase of over 20% of persons writing to us on various questions and topics and we look forward to hearing more from you for the coming year. Your comments are very important to us and most of all we value your business. For without you we are nowhere. You've continued to help us walk the talk instead of talking the talk. You've continued to help us provide you with topics of interest. You've continued to bring topics of interest to our attention, and we pledge to continue being of service to you.
I'd like to end this year by providing you with some tips for the Christmas/holiday season but I'm very sure that you're already aware of most of them. However, it does not hurt to give you some gentle reminders.
At your office parties:
Don't drink too much which means drink enough to have a good time and be fully aware of your surroundings.
Don't talk shop talk with your co-workers and especially not with your boss. Not a good time to ask for a raise or a promotion.
If you're thinking of not attending the office party, then it's probably better for you to attend it. It shows good will on your part and it will help you to be in good standing with both your co-workers and with your bosses.
If you're asked to bring a gift or if there's a gift exchange going on at the office then you're probably wise to bring a gift that's not too personal unless you know to whom you're giving it and you know them personally.
Keep a close watch on:
If you're travelling by train or plane then keep an extra close eye on your PDA, your laptop, your cell, and any other device that you use to store your personal information. Remember, while you're busy working away on your laptop, there are those who can easily manage to spy on your screen and snatch information from right under your nose and you wouldn't even know it till it's too late. Remedy! Put away your laptop while travelling. Give the laptop a rest! It's holiday time and time for you to take a break from your work.
Keep a very weary eye on your credit card and make sure that it is always within sight and close to you.
If you need to visit your friendly banking machine to either pay bills or withdraw cash, then make sure that no one is standing too close to you and that no one is peeking over your shoulder to see what you're doing.
Choosing a video game for your child's Christmas?
Choose one that does not promote crime, porn, and one that promotes clean entertainment. For trust me! There are games out there that offer clean entertainment.
Finally, keep an eye on your kids in those busy shopping malls. Hold tightly to their hands, don't let them stray too far from you, and definitely warn them to not talk to strangers.
That's it! Have a jolly old time and we'll see you in January. If you're looking for a good book to read and you're in the market for a life style change then by all means pick up a copy of the hot selling book Untapped Wealth Discovered. This book is hot!
